This young cardinal visited our yard one summer. It was not long out of the nest and had found itself in a world suddenly larger and more challenging than anything it had known. It looked like it was wondering where its next seed was coming from.
We are a family in central Alabama engaged in gardening, crafts, and watching nature pass through our yard. Like the young cardinal we have jumped into a new world filled with new complications and new opportunities. As for where the bird’s next seed is coming from…there is a feeder full of sunflower seeds about two feet away.
